Lynk&Co 900 Launch: Rotating Seats and the Unique Sky Tailgate

The Lynk&Co 900 is the world’s first SUV to feature dual 180° electric rotating seats. The second-row seats can rotate 90° to the sides or 180° backwards to adapt to various usage scenarios. For example, the outward rotation makes it easier for parents to install child safety seats, while the electric side steps provide added convenience for older passengers.

Lynk&Co also focused heavily on the rear door for better usability. It features electric suction and a four-stage limiter. As a result, the door opens nearly 90°, allowing easier entry and exit. Meanwhile, Lynk&Co maximized the third-row space for tall passengers. Even those over 6 feet enjoy generous legroom. Moreover, the second-row seats slide up to 125mm for flexibility. Their backrests recline up to 155° for extra comfort. Furthermore, a “boss button” and one-click exit simplify access. The second-row seats fold forward instantly, adding user-friendly convenience.

In terms of comfort, Lynk&Co has made sure that all six seats offer equal luxury. All are equipped with cloud comfort seats that feature heat-stone massage functionality. Even passengers in the third row can enjoy a plush, "big sofa" experience, ensuring comfort for older people and young passengers alike. The cabin also includes a 30-inch 6K floating screen (optional on the entry-level model), offering an excellent viewing experience for the third-row passengers. This screen supports split-screen functionality and gesture control for a futuristic touch.

Lynk&Co 900 Launch: Practical Design and Functionality

Lynk&Co’s focus on family life is evident in every detail. The vehicle features a “sky tailgate” that, although more costly to produce, offers greater storage and a wider range of use cases. The tailgate can carry up to 300kg, making it practical for carrying larger loads. Additionally, the Lynk&Co 900 can be equipped with an optional retractable electric tow bar that can handle up to 2 tons of towing capacity. Over 10% of the pre-order customers have chosen this configuration, highlighting the vehicle’s versatility.

Driving Experience and Safety: Lynk&Co’s Core Strengths

While many large electric SUVs boast impressive technology, some struggle with handling and soft suspension, making the driving experience less enjoyable. However, the Lynk&Co 900 is different. It combines family-oriented features with superior driving dynamics, ensuring an enjoyable experience behind the wheel.

Built on the SPA Evo platform, the Lynk&Co 900 is equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension system, offering a wide range of adjustments for better bump absorption and support. The steering system uses the RPS steering gear, which provides quicker response and higher precision. The car also features rear-wheel steering, a configuration typically found in larger vehicles. Regardless of the powertrain version, the 900 includes a 3-speed DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) that ensures minimal power loss even in low-battery conditions.

Safety is a key focus for Lynk&Co, and the 900 excels in this area. The SPA Evo platform enhances structural integrity while retaining the brand’s “wheel-saving” crumple zone and front W-fold energy-absorbing technology. The redesigned five-cross, six-longitudinal body structure provides robust protection for the battery. The Lynk&Co 900 is also the first in the industry to feature a 100% coverage of hot-formed steel on the passenger cabin's side. This includes hot-formed longitudinal beams and high-strength steel plates at the rear. These features helped the Lynk&Co 900 successfully pass the IIHS 100km/h 75% offset rear collision test.

Active safety systems are equally advanced. The 2.0T version uses the Nvidia Thor platform, supporting a comprehensive driver-assistance suite, while the 1.5T version utilizes the Orin-X platform. Both versions feature a “vision + LiDAR” solution, with the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) system capable of intervening at speeds up to 130km/h.

Lynk&Co 900 Launch:No Compromise on Features:

The Lynk&Co 900 ensures that customers don't have to make tough decisions when choosing a configuration. Both the Ultra and Explorer versions come standard with rear-seat entertainment screens and 21-inch wheels. All models feature electric side steps, the sky tailgate, and rotating seats. To address concerns about the vehicle’s large front screen, Lynk&Co even offers free screen protection insurance, ensuring that owners can drive with peace of mind.
