On July 24, 2025, Leapmotor launched the B01, its first pure-electric sedan under the B Series. Aimed at young drivers, the B01 is built on the new LEAP 3.5 platform. The EV targets the compact sedan market by offering long range, powerful driving, smart safety, and exceptional comfort. With six versions and three range options, the B01 is now available for delivery at prices from ¥89,800 to ¥119,800.
The B01 delivers worry-free range with three battery packs: 43.9kWh, 56.2kWh, and 67.1kWh. These support CLTC ranges of 430km, 550km, and 650km. Moreover, the 27-in-1 thermal system saves 30% space, reduces weight by 15%, and improves range by 10%. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes just 18 minutes. Impressively, the B01 consumes as little as 11.4kWh per 100km—each kilometer costs only a few cents.
With a rear-wheel-drive layout and 7-in-1 electric drive, the B01 produces 160kW and 240Nm torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in only 6.4 seconds. The suspension setup includes a MacPherson front and multi-link rear design, tuned jointly by Chinese and European teams. Additionally, its 50:50 weight distribution boosts handling stability. A 5.25m turning radius ensures agile city driving. Even during a blowout at 120km/h, its stability system keeps the car safe.
The B01 raises the bar in EV intelligence. It features the Snapdragon 8650 chip and lidar-enabled ADAS with 200 TOPS computing power. With 27 sensors, it supports highway pilot, daily commute assist, and memory parking. The smart cabin uses the Snapdragon 8295 chip and Leapmotor OS 4.0 Plus. The 14.6-inch 2.5K screen offers AI assistance, 3D animated UI, and voice control for immersive interaction.
Leapmotor maximized interior space with a best-in-class 86% occupancy rate. Key technologies such as CTC 2.0 Plus and rear-mounted motor improve space use. The interior features 88% soft-touch coverage and luxury-like materials. A panoramic roof with UV protection enhances ride quality. Meanwhile, 26 storage spots and a 460L trunk (including 70L underfloor space) offer everyday practicality. Bamboo charcoal seats meet EU infant safety standards, ensuring a healthy environment.
The B01 applies “Fluid Aesthetic” design with a low drag coefficient of 0.197Cd. A 17.2° fastback roofline adds elegance and speed. The front features meteor-inspired LED lights and gloss-black accents for a premium look. The B01 is available in eight colors, including the exclusive Morgan Pink, created with Pantone. It appeals to young, style-driven users.
Leapmotor builds the B01 with a 9-horizontal, 7-vertical steel frame and 76.6% high-strength steel. The cabin uses submarine-grade 2GPa steel. The CTC 2.0 Plus battery is integrated without modules, allowing compact and safer packaging. In case of cell failure, the system prevents thermal runaway for up to 48 hours. The battery meets and exceeds China’s latest safety regulations.
The B01 expands Leapmotor’s EV lineup after the success of the B10. With competitive pricing and full-feature specs, it breaks the "high price, low value" stigma. The B01 targets budget-conscious yet tech-savvy drivers, offering premium EV features at a mainstream price. As part of a two-car strategy with the B10, the B01 is set to become Leapmotor’s new sales engine.
